Beth McKenna

Teaches at The Art Center Highland Park

Beth McKenna is a working artist in northern Illinois. She has a BA in Art History from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the University of Illinois. Beth has helped organize and participate in multiple art-related programs and events for her children’s school district and other community organizations. She is an active member of the TAC in Highland Park and the Evanston Art Center. Beth McKenna has exhibited regionally and her artwork hangs in private collections nationwide. As a lifelong student of art, Beth’s work reflects a passion for color and light relationships. Her study of art history, fifteen-year career in fashion design, and hobby as a gardener influence her eye for composition and design. Whether producing paintings, doing multi-media collage, printmaking, or knitting she enjoys varying both technique and subject matter to keep her work fresh. Beth’s love for knitting was inherited from her mother Carol Harris Epkins, who was elected Best Knitter in the Class of 1958 at HP High School!
