I love to create pottery that is both functional and decorative. Whether it is a mug, bowl or flower vase, I want my audience to enjoy using the handmade piece as well as looking at it on a shelf. A perfect pot embodies a surface decoration that enhances the form and attitude of the piece. I am drawn to how simple lines and color combinations can convey attitude and feeling.Currently, I am making decorative and functional pottery that includes raku vessels as well as serving pieces made from high-fire stoneware and porcelain. The tableware is all food, microwave and dishwasher safe.  My work has been shown throughout the Chicago area in art shows and galleries listed below.
