Teaches at Fantasia Family Music

John Brown began his musical career at seven, singing and accompanying himself on ukulele. His love of music covered the gamut from concert clarinet to playing the lead in “Jesus Christ Superstar”. After leaving his native San Francisco to come to Hollywood as a featured singer on the “CBS Newcomer Show”, he never left LA. He has opened for Elvin Bishop, Bill Withers and Boz Scaggs; band members include those from The Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Eric Burdon & the Animals, Guns & Roses, Dave Mason and Donna Summer. The John Brown Band has been a Yamaha Ticketmaster Award winner and was recent voted the “Best of the South Bay” for local performances. John performs at hundreds of events annually, ranging from the famous Manhattan Beach Fireworks Fest to the Lobsterfest to Light at the Lighthouse. An award-winning songwriter, he is also Music Director of St. Andrew's Church, Music Teacher at Riviera Hall, President of JB Entertainment and Executive Director of nonprofit, performing arts group, Fantasia Family Music.
