What you'll learn in this basket weaving class:

In this class, students will learn the basics of Basketry: different materials, types of baskets, and how to shape and weave a basket. Students will work on a variety of projects, exploring different basketry techniques - twinning, ribbing, plaiting, etc.

Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. Our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime. All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. Students have access to Open Studio time for free for the duration of the class, to put their new knowledge to practice.
