What you'll learn in this calligraphy class:
Kathy’s back! In this fun workshop, you will learn how to combine simple flourishing techniques with easy drawn and painted fall and holiday designs. We’ll create seasonal treasures like flourishy wreaths, gratitude banners, leaves, pumpkins and owls; and special treats like flourished trees, garlands, snowflakes, holly, ornaments, snowmen, stars and bells, with step-by-step instruction for all. Add your own hand-lettered greeting for the perfect composition, and some glittering embellishments too!
Come and create lots of small, sparkling beauties, perfect for cards, envelopes, or to frame and give as gifts for the upcoming holidays! This workshop is sure to get you into the spirit!
As a bonus, Kathy will share her new peace dove design templates, perfect for any time of year.

Materials List:
- Straight Pen holder with 3 Nikko G nibs (or your favorite)
- matches
- Waterproof black india ink
- Dr. Martin’s Bleed Proof White (optional)
- Dinky Dip (or ink well)
- Ruler, soft pencil, kneaded eraser
- A few Q-tips
- A few colored pencils (fall, holiday colors)
- White colored pencil, or Fons & Porter White Mechanical Pencil
- Micron pigma pens (.01, .03 or .05 size ok)
- Dropper bottle with water or plastic pipette
- Tracing paper, a few sheets
- Canson Marker Layout paper pad, 9 x 12
- Small watercolor set (inexpensive ok)
- Paint brushes, and 1 old brush for mixing
- (Recommended: 000, 10/0, very small sizes)
- Fine Tec Arabic gold watercolor single pan, or gold ink
- Plastic mixing tray or palette (small)
- Plastic water container or large cup
- Viva Paper towels
- Uniball Signo White Pen or Sakura Gelly roll white Pen
- Sakura Gelly roll pens, 1 gold, 1 clear glitter
- Stickles Glitter Glue, clear sparkle (or any glitter glue)
- Self-adhering craft rhinestones
- Painters tape (blue or green)
