Description
What you'll learn in this kids camp:
Favorite Creative Stage Instructor Paulina Perera-Riveroll leads this group of young artists as they develop their visual minds with a combination of chosen and found images to create their very own Imaginary World in the form of a photo collage! There will be photography scavenger hunts, and the group will learn alternative image-making techniques like cyanotype, photo transfers and repurposing found images. The children will also learn about the use of color, patterns, negative and positive space, composition and design. In addition, they will be introduced to the history of artists and art movements that work with collage. At the end of the week campers will have the opportunity to show their work in a public exhibition at the Electric Ladybug Garden in Harlem!
Notes:
- For children emerging from grades 2-4
- Camp runs from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
- Runs August 27-31 (with optional garden event Sept 1st)
- Camp located at the Advent Lutheran Church at 2504 Broadway, just off the 96th St. 1, 2, 3 trains
Refund Policy
We do not officially offer refunds. However, we do make exceptions on a case by case basis for medical issues, and the like. Additionally, we are always happy to give a full refund if there is a child on the waiting list who is able to take the vacated spot.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
