This was a great chance to see the Gay Treasures of the Met, to which I hadn't really paid much attention in the past. I now have a much deeper understanding of the works and the artists, as well as the times in which these works were produced. A perfect example of this is Jasper Johns' "White Flag"; I did not know that this was a backlash against the way that society treated gays in the 1950s. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, gay or straight.
