Description
James III is a comedian, actor, and writer from Akron, Ohio. He can be seen in episodes of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Law & Order: SVU, and CBS’ Comedians + Sports. He has also appeared on Funny Or Die, Above Average, and The Nerdist, commercials for Walmart (with Melissa Joan Hart), Footaction (with T.I.), and Converse (with Kid Cudi), and written for CollegeHumor and Splitsider.
James is a performer at the UCB Theatre on the Maude team, Roanoke, the Harold team, Some Kid, and with UCB’s Touring Company. He’s performed his solo shows at UCB, The PIT, Philly Improv Theater, All For One Theater Salon Series, Akron Civic Theatre, and in the 2015 Out of Bounds Comedy Festival.
James has taught classes and workshops for Bennington College, Brooklyn College Hillel, UCB TourCo, UCB Diversity, The PIT, 10,000 Hours Improv, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Miller South School for the Arts, and many others.
He loves dinosaurs, time travel, and sour straws.

Improv Workshop - Comfort Zone: Loving and Leaving It!
Class was amazing. I had a great time. It was my very first improv class and James guided the class, for the beginners as well, from start to finish seamlessly. I felt nervous but comfortable with the exercises. I wish he offered classes more frequently. Definitely recommend it and I will definitely take it again. -
