In this certificate-earning online video production course, you’ll learn the foundations of storytelling and filmmaking from professional filmmakers and multimedia journalists. Plan, write, interview, shoot and edit your own short video alongside a community of makers. Prerequisites
This is a beginners level workshop, no previous experience with storytelling, filming, or editing video is required.
Requirements
- All participants must have a computer or laptop for use during this course. Your computer must meet the minimum technical specifications outlined on the Adobe Premiere Pro systems requirements page: https://helpx.adobe.com/audition/system-requirements.html . If in doubt please reach out to Adobe directly. We recommend you verify your computer can run Premiere Pro before enrolling.
- A subscription to Adobe Audition Creative Cloud for a period of 6-weeks is required to participate in this course. Information on how to purchase a subscription is found here: Adobe Premiere Pro Editing Software. You will begin using Premiere Pro during the first week of the five-week course. Keep this in mind when purchasing the license.
- An external hard drive for working with video files in Adobe Premier Pro.
- Headphones are required.
- A device for shooting video is required. This course references the smartphone (both iPhone & Android) with custom technical tutorials for shooting video. Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing by email to [email protected].
- Cancellations made up to 16 business days prior to the start of the program registered for will receive a refund of all monies less the $275.00 cancellation fee.
- We are unable to refund any fees for registrations canceled within 16 business days of the start of training.
- Failure to appear for the training will result in forfeiture of the full course fee.
We will advise applicants at the earliest opportunity of changes to schedule program. We are not responsible for travel fees, or any expenses incurred as a result of canceled programs.
