    Mae was a fabulous instructor and the 3 hour zoom class flew by. I’m happy I found this on course horse. I created an adorable cat piece complete with a ball of yarn.
  • It was my 1st class painting. I couldn't believe how much fun and easy it was. I had a great tim and was very impressed with the way my painting came out. I didn't think that I was capable of doing that.

  • This hands on class is a great introduction to screenprinting. We made a screen from scratch with affordable materials. We could design our own image in a variety of ways, most of them also accessible. And I even exposed my screen using the sun! I loved the ability for students to print their own gifts like cards, shirts, napkins, etc. I would definitely take this course again with a different project in mind.
  • Lovely afternoon spent with a bunch of plants. Kirsten's workshop approach worked great, as people brought their independent projects and even contributed plants. Kirsten steamed a ton of stuff. My pillowcase looks exquisite! I would definitely take this class again.

  • Stitch Retreat

    Great experience loved the one on one attention and multiple strategies in bettering my craft! Can't wait to go again!
  • Stitch Retreat

    Lucy is an excellent instructor. I've taken classes with her and studio time. If you are looking for a mentor to increase your embroidery technique and fan the flames of your inner artist, she will do it. I don't consider myself an artist, but she was able to guide me through two original designs from concept to final piece. It was a lovely experience.
  • Stitch Retreat

    What a great find! I traveled from Seattle to take two all-day classes here and wasn't disappointed. The school is easy to find on Union Square. The space is clean, well-lit and features lots of needlework examples beautifully displayed. There's a HUGE library for research, and the school sells a lot of quality threads and yarns that aren't available at craft stores. The teaching was top-notch, the classes well designed, easy to follow and I came away with some great new skills and techniques. They offer classes from beginner through advanced, and I'd definitely return for several more classes that caught my interest. Check out their website for schedules, activities and more information.
  • Bookbinding Core 1-4 :: Weeklong Intensive

    Took the basic book binding class. I will be back for more. This place is a treasure.
  • Bookbinding Core 1-4 :: Weeklong Intensive

    I have been taking classes here for 3+ years. I have learned how to hand bind books, learn various book binding structures, make paste papers, hand marble paper and cloth all taught by competent, friendly and patient teachers.
  • Bookbinding Core 1-4 :: Weeklong Intensive

    The instructor was great--really enthusiastic and very good at explaining her techniques! I learned so much during this class and am excited to start binding my own books.
  • I was able to tailor the class to be exactly what I needed to learn. Jerry is great to work with.
  • Great class with Fish. Unlike 99% of these types of courses, where the instructor has a pace set for them, Fish was adaptable and very open to questions. Great welding class. Already telling our friends about the fun we had.
  • Guatemalan Inspired Embroidery

    This class was great! Annalee was very friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. I learned a lot, and Annalee was helpful in coming around and giving us help when people had some trouble trying out particular stitches.
  • New Journal for the New Year

    There was a great deal of value in this class - I learned to build a beautiful bound journal (on steroids) from scratch. There were lots of extras to add to your book crafting bag of tricks. Amazing teacher - full of knowledge and patience. It is a lot to learn but so worth it!
  • Stitch-In

    This drop-in course allowed visitors to work on any existing project, tour the museum, buy supplies, browse the non-circulating library, ask for advice from the staff, and check out other people's projects. I loved the beautiful, quiet space. People admired my project and I picked up some extra floss. I'll definitely be back!
  • Introduction to Foil Stamping with Lara Durback

    Very fun class. The results were satisfying quickly, the learning curve wasn't too enormous and the instructor was very easy going so it became a lovely evening of making a nice amount of foil stamped items.
