Description
My name is Julie Margolies and I am a group fitness instructor in the DC area. I’ve always been a mover. I was a gymnast until age 18, a performance and competition dancer throughout high school and college, and have been a practitioner of various types of yoga for the past 10 years. These practices have and continue to help me learn more about myself, but I enjoy them even more because I get to share them with others.
After completing my BollyX certification in October 2017, I discovered the fulfillment that I got from bringing my love of movement to others. My philosophy is that movement should be joyful. My dance and yoga classes are accessible to all levels and experiences and cultivate and expand students’ abilities to connect with their own bodies through movement. I encourage students to listen to and respond to their body’s needs and find enjoyment and appreciation in what they accomplish in each class. My hope is that students leave any class with me feeling a greater sense of connection to themselves and others, gratitude for their own abilities, and assurance in their unique strengths.
