The more we spend, the more we expect. It's human nature, and there's a logic to it. But with wine, it's tricky. Taste is subjective, while assessing quality on a scale of 1-10 is a dark art at best, and certainly not verifiable.
I started writing the description above, then realized I was going down a rabbit hole with no end, so I'll cut to the chase. Spending more is no guarantee of, well, more. But having tasted countless wines over the past year, I've compiled a list of six bottles that made me sit back in my chair. Wines that offer balance, complexity, and maybe even a dose of intrigue.
We'll taste them, talk about them, and explore their origins. I'll tell you why I think they're special, what went into making them, and how to find other wines that are similar, but different. That is, after all, what it's all about: finding your wheelhouse, then rooting around within.
This class is for anyone interested in exploring delicious wine. No previous experience required, just a love for all things good and great. Please join us.
