Become a licensed pharmacy technician in just seven months through this accelerated 260-hour program. You'll gain comprehensive knowledge of what it takes to excel in the pharmacy field, with a curriculum covering pharmacology for technicians, pharmacy law and regulatory requirements, sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques, quality assurance protocols, and medication safety standards. The program prepares you to assist pharmacists in a wide range of tasks, including prescription preparation and mixing, patient record management, inventory control and purchasing, billing and insurance reimbursement processing, and more.
A 120-hour externship provides hands-on practical experience in a real pharmacy setting under the supervision and mentorship of a licensed pharmacist. Upon successful program completion, you'll be eligible to apply for your California Pharmacy Technician License. Your tuition includes the required affidavit for licensure, background check, and drug screening costs for the externship, liability insurance coverage, and your certificate of completion.
This program fulfills all education requirements established by the California Board of Pharmacy under Business and Professions Code Section 4202 for pharmacy technician licensure. Please note that textbooks, lab coat, scrubs, and the license application fee are separate costs not included in tuition.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
