What you'll learn in this avid training:
Ready to learn what it takes to be a professional Assistant Editor? This three-week program is designed especially for young adults (though open to all ages and backgrounds) to become certified as a skilled Assistant Editor and prepare them to start their career in the Media & Entertainment Industry!
This Bootcamp include 60 hours of live instruction from multiple industry veterans and includes two full courses:
- the MC101 Avid Media Composer Fundamentals I and our ED201 Assistant Editor Essentials
- plus, a digestible overview of shared storage and networking for media and equipment
- student-driven Q&A; resume building and review; communications and interview training
- tips on how to start your career and keep it while navigating the highs and lows of the “Industry”; and much, much more!
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
- Cancellations made at least 3 business days in advance of the class will be honored with a refund less 5% cancellation fee.
- Within 3 business days of class there is a $200 non-negotiable fee.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
