Learn the basics of Revit, the top BIM software, and start designing 3D models that automatically create 2D architectural drawings like floor plans, elevations, and perspectives. These skills will help you tackle real-world building projects and produce professional construction documents.
In this course, you'll learn to use BIM modeling tools to create architectural models, including existing buildings, partial demolition, new construction, and site topography with landscaping. You’ll also prepare construction documents, manage project phasing, and generate plan, section, and elevation views for your layouts. Plus, you'll create renderings perfect for both presentations and documentation.
What You Will Learn
- BIM Modeling Tools: Apply BIM modeling tools to create an architectural model, including existing buildings, partial demolition, and new construction.
- Construction Documentation: Prepare a set of architectural construction documents incorporating the site and building models.
- Topography and Site Planning: Build topography for a project using existing external files and develop a site plan, including hardscape and landscaping.
- Project Phasing: Graphically differentiate the phasing of a project from existing construction through new construction.
- View Production: Produce plan, section, and elevation views of the project for sheet layout.
- Renderings: Produce renderings suitable for presentation and documentation.
