In sessions Mark encourages his clients to work through and identify roles that are holding them back and to strengthen the roles they need to perform more confidently for themselves and in the world. Mark has helped children and adults work through issues related to domestic violence, childhood trauma, divorce, mental illness, addiction, gender and sexual orientation conflicts and support, parenting support, bullying and school related stress, opposition and anger, depression and low self-esteem.
Mark is a published author and also specializes in gender and sexuality affirmative psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults. He frequently teaches and provides trainings on the use of creative arts therapy with LGBTQ and gender nonconforming individuals and their families. He is passionate about creating a safe, creative and affirming space for his clients, both within the office and more importantly within themselves.
