Question from Claire S.
I know there will be some for sale, but what recommendations for the best 'lens' shaped stones to bring, in case we have some already available? i.e. what is a good size...are cabochons best...clear stone vs. opaque...easier to work type of stones for this method?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Claire! Either clear or opaque is fine, also cabochon or faceted is fine as long as it has the girdle in the center of the stone. As far as size goes, we just recommend using a not so small size, somewhere in the vicinity of 8mm on up. The techniques are the same on small stones but it's just much easier to learn using a larger stone. If you have any doubt as to whether your stone is right for this technique, just bring it along and Savannah will take a look and let you know.

Question from Adria
What is: Green paper $2.00 3DWT $9.00
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Adria! The green paper is a micron sanding paper and 3 dwt is three pennyweights of silver. Hope this is helpful.
