Class Description

Description

Character. Persona. Perspective. POV.

These are all things many comedians discuss and debate, but what do they even mean? How do you identify your character? And, more importantly, how do you apply it to your act?

We will help you answer those questions in a specialized 2-day weekend intensive.

A brief review of joke writing basics will steer into one-of-a-kind exercises and techniques designed to help you identify your character, integrate those qualities into your material, and embed them into both your content and delivery with intention.

Through a combination of dialogue and intuitive feedback, we will bring you to a new understanding of how to approach your comedy that’ll feel like it was always there waiting for you to take it on vacation.

Prerequisite: You must be available both days of the workshop and have completed at least Stand-Up 1 at BCC or equivalent experience.

Refund Policy

Class payments are non-refundable.

In the event you have to drop a class before it begins and give us at least 8 business days notice, we can credit your tuition toward a future class.

In the event a class fails to meet a minimum number of sign-ups (6 enrollments), students will be notified by email and given the option to transfer into another class, keep a class credit on the books, or offered a full refund - whichever is preferable to the student.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
