Come discover charcoal! Charcoal is a drawing medium that is well-known for its painterly qualities. Come learn just how fun and reworkable this medium is. We will cover tips, techniques, and surfaces as well as discuss multi-media applications. All levels welcome! Ages 11- Adult. All supplies provided.
Drawing techniques using pencils, markers, charcoal pencil, colored pencils and conte will be explored each week.
Participants explore this flexible, fabulous feast of color, leaving class with hands and clothes clean. Studying still life and photos, students learn about color, layering, mixed media, and solvent techniques and the rich textures afforded by various papers. Drawing experience is recommended.
